Police in Connecticut announced they have found the body of a Long Island, New York, woman who'd been reported missing days earlier in a Fairfield County river. The body of Paige Fannon, 35, of West Islip, New York, was located in Norwalk on Thursday afternoon, March 6, police said. A visitor to Schenck's Island in Wilton called police earlier that day after finding clothing and other personal items on the bank of the Norwalk River. A father of two who was found dead in a fast-food parking lot earlier this month is being remembered for his love of family and adventure. Stephen Morin died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 9. He would have turned 39 four days later. A Meriden native, Morin spent most of his life in Wallingford, his family said in his obituary. He worked at All-Pro HVAC of Beacon Falls, but he pursued many hobbies, they wrote. Stephen was a passionate and active man who found joy in the things he loved. 43-Year-Old ID'd As Driver In Fiery Fatal Route 8 Crash
Police have identified the driver who was killed last week after their truck left the road and burst into flames in Litchfield County. Lester Y. Rivera-Santiago, age 43, of Waterbury, was killed on Tuesday, Nov. 12, just before 10:30 p.m. on Route 8 in Thomaston, Connecticut State Police said. Rivera-Santiago was driving south on the highway about a mile north of exit 38 when his 2002 Dodge Ram went off the shoulder and crashed into the wire guardrail in the median.
