Masked Gunman Carjacks CT Delivery Van Packed with Christmas Gifts
A Connecticut delivery driver’s routine evening turned into a terrifying ordeal when they were carjacked at gunpoint, authorities said. The carjacking happened around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the 200 block of Woodrow Ave. in Fairfield’s Southport neighborhood. The thief got away with several Christmas presents intended for area residents. Early Morning Shooting Sends 4 To Hospital; Teen Woman Remains In Critical Condition
An early morning shooting in New Haven sent four people to the hospital and left one woman clinging to life, authorities said. New Haven police responded to the 800 block of Chapel Street around 2 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, after 911 callers reported multiple gunshots, detectives said. Officers found a 22-year-old from Hampden suffering from a bullet wound at the scene. Body-Cam Video Shows Suspect Fired First In New Haven Officer-Involved Fatal Shooting: Report
The Connecticut Office of Inspector General released its preliminary findings in a fatal officer-involved shooting last week and found that the suspect fired at police first. Jebrell Conley, 36, was shot and killed on Thursday, Sept. 19, at a West Haven car wash on Boston Road. The New Haven Police Department's Violent Crime Task Force went to arrest Conley around 5 p.m. on an outstanding robbery warrant.
