Officers responded to a report of multiple people inside a home breaking things shortly before midnight on Friday, March 14, at 10 Black Hill Road, authorities said.
When police arrived, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his forearm alongside another man inside the house, authorities said.
Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His name was not released, police said.
Using a K-9 unit, officers located the suspect hiding in the tree line behind the home where the shooting happened. His name was also withheld.
The investigation is ongoing, Plainfield police said.
