71-Year-Old Man Dies Day After Crashing Into Utility Pole
A 71-year-old man who crashed into a utility pole in Fairfield County on Friday, Oct. 11, has died of his injuries, police announced on Saturday. James Morley, of New York, crashed his SUV into a pole at 690 Atlantic St. in Stamford just before noon, authorities said. Father Killed In Crash While Riding Next To Son On I-684
A 46-year-old man was killed while riding his motorcycle next to his son on a busy interstate highway in the region. The crash happened on Sunday, Aug. 11 just after 9:30 a.m., when a man lost control of his motorcycle on northbound I-684 near Exit 4 in Bedford, according to New York State Police. CT Child, 8, Struck By Vehicle
A child struck by a car in Connecticut escaped without injury. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 8:50 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, on Hall Avenue. According to Sgt. Michale Boothroyd of the Meriden Police, an officer, responded to the area and found an 8-year-old child had been struck but was showing no apparent signs of injury but did complain of pain. Boothroyd said the driver of the vehicle was also on the scene. The child was transported to an area hospital for observation.
