Milford Diner Closing After Generations Of Family Tradition: 'Thank You For So Many Years' A popular diner along the Connecticut shoreline will serve its last customers after more than 80 years, bringing an end to a multi-generational family legacy. The Bridgeport Flyer Diner will close on Sunday, Feb. 23, the business said in a Facebook post. The diner is located on Route 1 in Milford, about a half-mile from the Washington Bridge over the Housatonic River.
