Sikorsky Memorial Airport Building Goes Up In Flames In Bridgeport An early-morning fire at a Connecticut airport severely damaged a building in Fairfield County. Firefighters responded to Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Bridgeport around 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, after a blaze broke out at the Civil Air Patrol building. The 1.5-story structure was fully engulfed when crews arrived. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and no injuries were reported. The Bridgeport Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Prominent Musician Who Worked With KISS Dies After Mom, 90, Crashes Car In New Jersey: Police A 61-year-old musician who worked with KISS, died on Wednesday, Feb. 19 after his 90-year-old mother crashed a car into a tree in Bridgewater, authorities said. Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old Found By Guardrail With Leg Injury In CT A bicyclist died in the hospital after being found injured next to a guardrail following a crash in Connecticut, police announced.  The events leading to the man's death began in Tolland County on Sunday, July 21 around 1 p.m., when a passerby saw an unattended bicycle against a guardrail at 667 Wall St. (Route 316) in Hebron.  According to Connecticut State Police, the passerby then saw a man next to the guardrail almost into the woods with a severe leg injury. Building Closed In CT After Grenade-Like Device Found A Connecticut public works facility is temporarily closed after a grenade-like object was found in the entrance roadway. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, on North Division Street in Ansonia. According to Ansonia Public Works, public works employees found the object in the grass along the entrance road to the complex.
