Boy, 5, Who Fell Into Connecticut River Has Died; Police ID Him
The 5-year-old boy who fell into the Connecticut River in Middlesex County last week while kayaking has died, authorities said. Jaxon Podbielski, of Higganum, was kayaking with an adult and fell into the water around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 26, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said. Watch: Two Proud Pigs Square Off Against Black Bear During Altercation In Region
A brand-new video shows two pigs fighting a black bear that crawled into their pen in Connecticut. WTNH, the ABC-TV affiliate in New Haven, published the video on Friday, March 18, which was sent from the owner of the pigs in the Litchfield County town of New Milford. The Ring camera footage shows the pigs fighting and chasing away a black bear after the bear crawled into their pen. 19: Outbreak Forces Nearly 100 Students To Quarantine At CT School
Nearly 100 students at a school in Connecticut were asked to quarantine due to an outbreak of COVID-19, according to a new report. WTNH reported on Friday, Dec. 10, that a representative for New Haven Public Schools said 97 students at the Barnard Environmental Science & Technology School were impacted, with six students testing positive for COVID-19 and 91 others also being asked to quarantine as a result.
