Duo Nabbed After Causing Fight In Bridgeport Bar, Police Say Two Fairfield County men were charged with trespass and assault after allegedly starting a fight at a crowded bar. Bridgeport resident Juan Torres, age 35, and Newtown resident Alexander Rosa, age 41, were arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 24, following the fight at the Rum & Tequila Bar in Bridgeport. According to Capt. Lonnie Blackwell of the Bridgeport Police said officers responded to the club after receiving a call of a disturbance involving several people. Man Caught With Machete At Danbury Elementary School, Police Say A Fairfield County man was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon after he allegedly jumped a fence at an elementary school carrying a machete. The incident occurred in Danbury on Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Ellsworth Avenue School, at 53 Ellsworth Ave.  According to Erin Henry with the Danbury Police, officers responded to the school for a report of a person trespassing on school property with a machete.
