Drunk Norwalk Man Caught Driving With Shredded Burning Tire In Darien: Police A man faces drunk driving charges after authorities caught him traveling with a shredded, burning tire in Fairfield County, police said.  The arrest resulted from an incident on Tuesday, July 4 just before 3:20 a.m., when a Darien Police Department officer noticed a heavily damaged car driving on Post Road (Route 1). Although the officer tried pulling the vehicle over, it continued to drive until it pulled into a driveway on Post Road. Two Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Fairfield County Building, Police Say Two drivers in Fairfield County were taken to the hospital after a multi-car crash in which one of the vehicles crashed into a building. The crash took place around 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, when police were patrolling in Bridgeport in the area of Park Avenue and Olive Street when they came upon a multiple vehicle crash with one of the vehicles into a building in the 1300 block of Park Avenue.
