A Connecticut man was arrested this week after police say he crashed his car on I-84, left it on the highway, then jumped into another vehicle and sped away. Unfortunately for him, all of this was captured on a Department of Transportation camera, authorities said.
Chaviel Gonzalez, 21, of Hartford, was arrested Tuesday morning, March 11, and charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of a registration plate, illegal operation without insurance, evading responsibility, and interfering with an officer, Connecticut State Police said.

Man Struck By CT Girls' Basketball Coach Also Charged: Police
A man who police say was intentionally run over by a Connecticut girls' basketball coach has been arrested for his alleged role in the altercation, which reportedly began during a game between two players.
Jason Suprenant, 40, of Columbia, was charged this week with breach of peace and held on a $5,000 bond, according to Connecticut State Police.
The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 11, at Horace Porter School in Columbia, involving Suprenant and Bryan Baez-Rivera, a 29-year-old girls' basketball coach from Willimantic.

Hartford County resident James Sanders of East Granby was arrested on Monday morning, May 13 following an incident on Interstate 91 North in Windsor, Connecticut State Police announced.

Hit-Run: Stratford Man Charged With Killing 19-Year-old Woman
Police have arrested a man for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 19-year-old Fairfield County woman.
Troy Watley, age 28, of Stratford, was arrested on Saturday, July 1, after he allegedly hit and killed the 19-year-old shortly after 12 a.m., near St, Michael’s Cemetery on Stratford Avenue and then fled from the scene, said Capt. Frank Eannotti, of the Stratford Police.
When Stratford police arrived on the scene they found Michelle Rodriguez, of Stratford, lying in the roadway, Eannotti said.
She was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital where she died from her injuries.

A 32-year-old man was charged after police said he was found in possession of a loaded revolver, more than a kilogram of marijuana, and illegal mushrooms during a traffic stop in Connecticut.
The incident happened on I-84 westbound in Hartford on Wednesday, Sept. 21, Connecticut State Police said.
Troopers saw a Mercedes-Benz swerving and failing to maintain a proper lane position near Exit 44 at about 11 p.m., police said.
