81-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Crash, Leading To Charges For Fairfield County Man
A Fairfield County man has been charged in connection with a crash in Ansonia last year that left an 81-year-old with serious injuries.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, in Ansonia.
Arsene Ndabian, age 64, of Bridgeport was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 10, by warrant for his involvement in the crash on Division Street where an 81-year-old pedestrian was struck and seriously injured, said Lt. Patrick Lynch, of the Ansonia Police.
Ndabian was the driver of a cargo van that struck and dragged the pedestrian for several hundred feet, Lynch said.…
Woman Wearing Dark Clothing Killed Crossing CT Roadway
A Connecticut woman was hit and killed crossing a Connecticut roadway.
Windham County resident Amanda Bell, age 45, of the village of Moosup, was killed around 7:50 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 27 on Route 101 in the town of Killingly.
According to Connecticut State Police, Bell, who was wearing dark clothing and not in a crosswalk, was struck by a 2008 Toyota Prius in the area of Valley Road and Hartford Pike.
Bell was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Prius remained at the scene and was not injured, or charged, state police said.

Woman Struck, Killed By Car Near CT Intersection
A Connecticut woman crossing a busy roadway was hit and killed by a vehicle.
Yarillis Esteras, age 43, of Hartford, was hit around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8 in the area of Franklin Avenue and Bliss Stree in Hartford.
According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police, when officers arrived on the scene they found Esteras had been struck by a vehicle and was critically injured.
The vehicle involved, and its driver remained on scene, Boisvert said.
Esteras was transported to Hartford Hospital by ambulance, where she later died, he added.

CT Woman Killed Crossing Busy Roadway, Police Say
A Connecticut woman was killed when she was hit by a Jeep Compass while crossing a busy roadway.
Brenda Bradley, age 74, of New Haven, was killed around 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, in Milford.
According to the Milford Police Department, Bradley was crossing Boston Post Road near the traffic light at Costco and Bowlero when she was hit by the Jeep driving by Darleen Lee, age 68, address unknown.
Bradley was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she died from her injuries.
