Tiara Wheeler was 24 years old. Her father, Tyson Wheeler, played for the University of Rhode Island men's basketball team as point guard from 1994 to 1998 when the Rams advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight before being drafted by the Toronto Raptors. The New London County incident happened on Monday, Aug. 28 in Waterford, according to Connecticut State Police. At approximately 11:30 a.m., a gray Ford Fiesta was driving southbound on I-395 and began to slow down with traffic in the rightmost lane. Man Found Unresponsive In Water At CT State Park Dies A 78-year-old man who was found unresponsive in the water at a Connecticut state park later died.
