A company has recalled more than 1,000 cases of frozen raspberries because they may be contaminated with Hepatitis A. Exportadora Copramar recalled 1,260 cases of James Farm frozen raspberries after testing from the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA) indicated the presence of Hepatitis A in products identified by UPC Code: 76069501010 and Lot Code - 22-165, the company announced on Saturday, Dec. 3. Fairfield County Man Charged With Insurance Fraud Over $27K Diamond Ring
A 44-year-old Connecticut man was arrested for filing a bogus insurance claim on a diamond ring valued at $27,000, authorities said. Fairfield County resident Duke Quarshie, of Norwalk, was issued a payment from Assurant Insurance Company in 2016 for a claim regarding the ring in New Jersey, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. On June 2, 2021, Quarshie was living in North Bergen, New Jersey when filed a second claim for the same piece of jewelry, the prosecutor said. A Fairfield County man has been arrested after stabbing a security guard during a horror-themed expo over the weekend, authorities said. The alleged incident happened in New Jersey around 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Chiller Theatre Expo in the Hilton Parsippany. A guard was intervening during an altercation between David C.
