Woman Abducted By Ex-Boyfriend, Takes Cops On Pursuit, Bridgeport Police Say A man is under police guard at a hospital after he allegedly carjacked and abducted a former girlfriend in Fairfield County. The incident took around 1;10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23 on the property of A.M.R. American Medical Response located at 335 Connecticut Ave., in Bridgeport, said Capt. Man Pours Gas On Woman, Trailer In Middletown, Police Say An investigation continues after a Connecticut man allegedly poured gas on a woman and a trailer and threatened to set them on fire before holding police at bay for more than an hour. The incident took place in Middlesex County around 10:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18 at 500 Washington St., in Middletown. Firefighters Battle House Fire, Ignited Propane Supply, Live Wires All At Once In CT A Connecticut house fire that also ignited a propane supply and knocked down power lines left one person injured.  On Sunday, Jan. 8 around 5:30 a.m., firefighters in Middlesex County were sent to a home in Clinton located in the area of Nod Road and East Shore Drive for a reported house fire, according to the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department.  Once there, firefighters had to contend with the structure fire, the ignited propane supply, and live power wires that had been knocked down onto the ground. Two Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On Busy CT Highway Two people were killed on a busy Connecticut highway in a wrong-way driver crash. The crash took place in Middlesex County around 12:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 5, on Route 9 South near Exit 18 in Cromwell. According to the State Police, a vehicle was driving in the left lane of Route 9 South near the Exit 18 off-ramp when it was struck by a wrong-way driver head-on. The first vehicle came to an uncontrolled final rest on the left shoulder, fully engulfed in flames.
