CT Woman Charged With 55 Counts Of Cruelty To Animals A 78-year-old Connecticut woman has been charged with 55 counts of alleged cruelty to animals after a dog had to be put down due to severe medical conditions. Middlesex County resident Jean E. Jameson of the town of Deep River was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 25.  According to Connecticut State Police, in April 2023, Tri-Town Regional Animal Control received a complaint of barking dogs at a residence located on Bushy Hill Road in the town of Deep River.  In response, Animal Control officers met with a woman at the home who identified herself as the homeowner. CT Corrections Officer Charged With Murder In Road-Rage Shooting, Police Say A 32-year-old Connecticut corrections officer has been charged with the alleged murder of another man during a road-rage incident. William Lucky Jr., of North Haven, turned himself in to Connecticut State Police on Tuesday, Jan. 23 for the shooting which took place on I-691 on Jan. 14 in Meriden. According to the arrest warrant and information from State Police, Lucky admitted to shooting Middlesex County resident Scott Kracke, age 49, of Middlefield, during a confrontation on the side of I-691 in Meriden after a road rage incident. Missing CT Woman Found Dead A Connecticut woman who was reported missing last week has been found dead. Middlesex County resident Palma Hydross, age 66, of Westbrook, was reported missing on Thursday, 18 on Toby Hill Road, said the Connecticut State Police. A Silver alert was issued, but was later canceled, police said. Troopers said her body was found just before 10:40 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 20. State Police did not say where the body was found or release any other details surrounding the case. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

CT Man Shot, Killed In Road-Rage Incident On I-691 A 49-year-old CT man was shot and killed during a road-rage incident. Middlesex County resident Scott Kracke, of Middlefield, died of a gunshot wound around 8 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14 in New Haven County, on I-691 eastbound in Meriden. Connecticut State troopers responded to a report of a disturbance near Exit 2A. State police said when troopers arrived, they found Kracke with gunshot wounds. New York resident Zhicheng Wu, of Flushing, Queens, was stopped in Middlesex County around 1 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20 in the area of Westbrook. Connecticut State Troopers spotted Wu passing traffic at a high rate and clocked him at speeds of 120 mph in a 65 mph zone, the department said.
