Police Seek Jewelry Owner Following Vandalism at CT Cemetery
Police in Connecticut are seeking the owner of a piece of jewelry stolen by a juvenile who allegedly vandalized a cemetery, taking items from the gravesites. The incident occurred in Windham County on Sunday, July 14, at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Killingly. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers and Killingly Police responded to the cemetery on Maple Street after receiving a report of criminal mischief. 3 Police Officers Attacked In Separate CT Incidents
Three Connecticut officers were attacked over the weekend in two separate incidents. The attacks occurred on Saturday, June 29, in New Haven County in West Haven and New London County in Norwich. In West Haven, one officer was injured when Imran Ahmed, age 54, of West Haven, allegedly deliberately crashed his vehicle into an occupied police cruiser that was helping another officer who Ahmed had been trying to run off the roadway. Suspect Cashes Fraudulent Check At CT Bank, Police Say
Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who cashed a fraudulent check at a Connecticut bank and tried doing the same at a second location, police said. The incident happened in Windham County on Thursday morning, Aug. 17 at the Hometown Bank in Danielson at 3 Central St., where a person allegedly tried cashing a fraudulent check, Connecticut State Police announced on Thursday, Aug. 24.
