Ex-CT High School Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Student A former Connecticut high school math teacher is being accused of sexually assaulting a student. Middlesex County resident James Hanson, age 35, of Middletown, was arrested by warrant on Tuesday, April 2. Hanson is alleged to have had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor student, said Chief Erik Costa of the Middletown Police. He taught at Middletown High from August 2022 through November 16, 2023, but was immediately placed on administrative leave when the investigation started, Costa said.
