A 32-year-old man was accused of driving under the influence after police said his vehicle was found partially blocking a Fairfield County roadway. An officer saw a vehicle parked and partially blocking Lapham Road in New Canaan at about 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, the New Canaan Police Department reported. Police said the officer spoke to the driver, identified as Jacob Iorfino, of Stamford, and detected signs of impairment. A man whose license was suspended is accused of resisting arrest after a traffic stop in Fairfield County, according to police. An officer on patrol saw a vehicle that wasn't displaying a valid registration plate traveling in New Canaan on New Norwalk Road at about 4:10 p.m. on Friday, April 8, according to authorities. A 30-year-old man was arrested and accused of driving under the influence and crashing into a fence in Fairfield County. Police responded to a crash in the 400 block of Silvermine Road in New Canaan at about 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, according to the New Canaan Police Department. A Connecticut teen has been charged for allegedly being drunk while driving the wrong way on a busy roadway and causing a crash that injured two. Man Charged With DUI After Driving Into Active Work Zone In Fairfield County, Police Say
A driver was allegedly intoxicated when he intentionally disobeyed traffic signs and drove through an active work zone in Fairfield County, police said. Shortly after 2 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, a New Canaan police officer on patrol spotted a driver ignoring traffic control signs, at which point he entered a road closed due to construction at the intersection of Main Street and Locust Avenue.
