CT Wrong-Way Driver Crash On I-291 Sends 3 To Hospital A wrong-way driver crashed into an oncoming car on I-291 on Sunday night, Dec. 22, sending three people to the hospital, officials said.  The wreck was reported just after 9 p.m. between westbound Exits 4 and 5 near the borders of Manchester and South Windsor, firefighters said.  The impact sent one car careening into some trees along the interstate and sheered the front wheel off another, the South Windsor Fire Department said.  Three people were sent to the hospital following the crash. 23-Year-Old CT Man Dies After 3-Vehicle CT Crash A 23-year-old Connecticut man died at the hospital after a three-vehicle crash. The crash happened in South Windsor on westbound I-291 near the Exit 4 on-ramp at about 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, Connecticut State Police said. Jose Cotto, of Windsor Locks, was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson XL 1200 Forty-Eight when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the motorcycle and it tipped over, causing Cotto to be separated from the motorcycle, police said.
