Suicidal CT Man Who Wanted Police To 'Kill Him,' Injures Officers During Arrest, Cops Say
A Connecticut man who was allegedly suicidal and wanted to be killed by police was taken into custody after fighting and injuring several officers.
The incident occurred in New Haven County in Hamden on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Hamden Plaza.
According to Lt. Raymond Quinn of the Hamden Police, the department received word that the East Haven Police were trying to locate and arrest Derrick Gilliam, age 29, of New Haven.
East Haven police said that Gilliam, who was wanted on domestic violence charges, was suicidal and "wanted to be killed by police," Quinn said.

The incident occurred in Middlesex County around 6:30 a.m., Monday, April 15, on Saybrook Road in Haddam.
According to the Connecticut State Police, an investigation found that a Ford F-150 driven by an 18-year-old man from Ivoryton was heading north on Saybrook Road when it crashed head-on with a Honda Civic heading south.

A teen girl is dead, and a teen boy was seriously injured in a rollover crash on a busy Connecticut highway.
The crash occurred in New Haven on I-91 southbound around 10 p.m., Wednesday, April 10.
According to the Connecticut State Police, Isabela Jane Osler, age 17, of Branford in New Haven County, was killed after she was ejected from a 1993 Jeep Cherokee she was riding in during the crash with a truck and flatbed trailer.

New Haven County resident Deshawn Maysonet, of Hamden, died on Saturday, March 16 in New Haven.
According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, officers responded to the area of Fairmont Avenue, between East Ferry Street and Lancraft Street, on the report of a person shot.

Speeding CT Tesla Driver Killed After Slamming Into 9 Vehicles
A 35-year-old Connecticut man was killed after the Tesla he was driving hit nine cars.
The crash took place in New Haven County around 7:50 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, on Nicoll Street near Eagle Street in New Haven.
Capt. Rose Dell, of the New Haven Police Department, said the Tesla, traveling at a high rate of speed hit the nine vehicles, with seven parked and two in motion.
