CT Caregiver Critical After 30-Foot Fall While Raking Leaves
A Connecticut woman is in critical condition after falling off a 30-foot cliff while raking leaves. The incident took place in New London County on Sunday, Nov. 5 around 1 p.m. in Mystic behind a Quarry Road home. According to Stonington Police Assitant Chief Todd Olson, the department received a call from a woman in her 90s who reported that her caregiver was missing. When an officer arrived he was told the woman was last seen raking leaves in the backyard, Olson said. The officer happened to look over the cliff and found the caregiver at the bottom. Westchester Caseworker Accused Of Stealing More Than $300K From Client
A Westchester County caseworker who resides in Connecticut faces numerous charges after allegedly stealing more than $300,000 from a 95-year-old woman suffering from dementia whom she had been taking care of. Fairfield County resident Chantel Chenault, age 46, of Danbury, was indicted on multiple charges on Friday, March 24 for stealing from the elderly woman under her care in Westchester, according to New York Attorney General Letitia James. CT Man Arrested For Making Threats To Lamont, State Police Say
A Connecticut man is facing charges for allegedly making online threats against Gov. Ned Lamont after receiving misinformation about COVID-19 in nursing homes, State Police announced. New London County resident Jonathan Wright, age 41, of Waterford, was arrested on a warrant on Monday, Nov. 15 after making threats on social media toward the governor in late October. Police said that Wright made multiple threatening Twitter posts in October that were directed toward Lamont.
