Stanley-Branded Kids Garden Sets Sold At Costco Subject To Recall For Lead Poisoning Hazard
More than 450,000 Stanley-branded kid's garden sets sold nationwide at Costco are subject to a recall due to the possible presence of lead paint on some of the products, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). An alert was issued by federal officials this week advising that 459,200 "Stanley Jr. Kids Wheelbarrow and 7-piece Garden Sets" that were exclusively sold at the wholesale giant between February and June this year before the defect was discovered. Recall Issued For Multivitamin Brand Because Of Improper Packaging
A recall has been issued for a popular brand of multivitamins. Nutraceutical Corporation announced the recall for 85,300 units of its Solaray Liposomal Multivitamins because the packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. The recalled supplements contain iron, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said. 11-Year-Old Hurt After Fairfield County Woman Drives Through Fence, Hits Swing Set, Police Say
An 11-year-old boy was injured when he was hit by a car while swinging at a Fairfield County Boys and Girls Club. The incident took place in Stamford on Sunday, May 1 at the Boys and Girls Club at 348 Stillwater Ave. The child was on the swings at the time of the crash and was transported to an area hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries, said Sgt.
