'Sarcastic' Bomb Comment Causes Security Response, Delays At CT Airport
A passenger's sarcastic comment about having a bomb in his bag triggered a major security response, delaying flights at Tweed New Haven Airport on Thursday, Feb. 13, as security officials searched for the non-existent threat. The passenger made the remark around 11 a.m. while boarding Avelo Flight 295 to Charlotte. Someone overheard it and alerted authorities, prompting officials to deplane the passengers so officers could search for any explosive devices. None were found. A former American Airlines flight attendant attempted to film a child as she used the bathroom and had videos of several other children using the plane's lavatory on his phone, authorities said. Man Charged After Attempting To Enter Elementary School In Fairfield County, Police Say
A man from out of state has been charged after police said he attempted to enter an elementary school in Fairfield County. Just after 1 p.m. on Friday, May 27, school administrators in Stamford from Davenport Elementary School on Newfield Avenue noticed a suspicious man on the school campus, and immediately initiated a lockdown, according to Captain Diedrich Hohn, Commander of Special Investigations for the Stamford PD.
