Video: 14-Year-Old CT Girl Killed In Crash Of Stolen Vehicle, Police Say A 14-year-old Connecticut girl was killed during a two-car crash that also injured five people, two critically.  The crash took place in New Haven County around 2:20 a.m., Friday, July 21, at the intersection of East Main Street and Baldwin Street in Waterbury.  The vehicles involved were a Hyundai Sonata and Ford Escape, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police. The Hyundai had four juvenile occupants and had been reported stolen in Waterbury, he added. CT Teen Driver Killed After Hitting Tree A Connecticut teenager was killed after allegedly losing control of his car and hitting a tree. Nathaniel Appell Jr., age 19, was killed around 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 4  in Middlesex County, in Westbrook, said the Connecticut State Police. Appel, a resident of Westbrook, was driving a 2002 Honda Accord LX when for an unknown reason it left the road near 679 Old Clinton Road and hit a tree, state police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. State police are still investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Troop F at 860-399-2100.

Walter Herbert Brown, age 20, of New Canaan was arrested on Saturday, June 24 following the crash on White Oak Shade Road in New Canaan. According to New Canaan Police Lt. Marc J. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 2 a.m., Friday, June 30 at 807 North Main St., at the Ingprica Bar and Restaurant in Waterbury. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police, responding officers found that a vehicle had crashed into the restaurant and found an unidentified man inside the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Police Cruiser Flips After Crash In CT: Both Drivers Sent To Hospital Two people, including a police officer, were hospitalized following a crash that left the officer's cruiser flipped on a busy New London County road.  The incident happened on Wednesday, June 28 just after 9 a.m. in Waterford at the intersection of Richards Grove Road and Route 32, according to Waterford Police.  Both drivers were taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital with minor injuries suffered as a result of the crash, police said. No passengers were in either of the involved cars.  The collision is now under investigation.
