A 23-year-old man was charged after police said he drove in Fairfield County with a BAC more than two times the legal limit. An officer saw a vehicle drive past a stop sign without stopping at the intersection of Old Kings Highway South and Locust Road in Darien at about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, according to the Darien Police Department. A man is accused of driving under the influence in Fairfield County after officers responded to a report of a seriously damaged vehicle. Officers began investigating a possible disabled motor vehicle in the area of Post Road and Ledge Road in Darien at about 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 11. Police received two reports of a vehicle driving erratically at about 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, according to the Darien Police Department. Police in Fairfield County arrested a sleeping driver parked the wrong way on an area roadway after it was determined he was intoxicated, authorities announced. A man is accused of driving while intoxicated after police said he crossed the double yellow while driving in Fairfield County. Robert Oxer Sr., age 71, of Darien, is facing charges of operating under the influence and failure to drive right in the Sunday, Oct. 10, incident, according to the Darien Police Department.
