Woman, 27, Hospitalized After Ansonia Shooting A 27-year-old Connecticut woman is recovering after she was shot in New Haven County on Friday, Nov. 1, authorities said.  The Ansonia woman turned up at Griffin Hospital in Derby just before 8 p.m., but investigators believe she was shot in Ansonia. Doctors transferred her to another hospital, where she was in stable condition.  Police believe the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.  Ansonia investigators ask anyone with information on the shooting to contact detectives at 203-735-1885.

It happened late Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6 in Fairfield County at the Danbury Fair Mall. Danbury Police say officers responded to a report of a possible incident at the mall at around 4:30 p.m.  The officers quickly determined that the threat was not credible and there was no danger to the public, according to police.  "This incident remains under investigation as a swatting call," according to Danbury Police.
