Connecticut car thieves pulled off a brazen, broad-daylight car theft over the weekend when they swiped a luxury Bentley from a home's driveway, authorities said. The incident comes on the heels of several recent home invasions that have left Fairfield County residents on edge. The theft occurred on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 22, when the owner of a Bentley pulled into their Westport driveway briefly to run inside their home and grab something, police said. A 50-year-old Connecticut father of four who served as one of New York's Finest during its most trying day has died. Richard "Rick" Stueber Jr. died on Dec. 10. His family did not disclose the cause of death. Stueber had been living in Stratford, CT but was born in Queens, New York, and had deep roots in Long Island law enforcement, according to his obituary shared by Riverhead News and Riverhead Local. Gilgo Beach Murders: New Images Of 'Asian Doe' Released In Effort To ID Male Victim
Investigators are hoping newly released images will lead to the identification of another victim in the Gilgo Beach serial murders. On Long Island, the Gilgo Beach Task Force distributed facial reconstructions of who they've long referred to as "Asian Doe" during a press conference in Brentwood on Monday morning, Sept. 16.
