Francha Francis Crashed Into, Killed Raymond Getty: Police Police in Connecticut said a 30-year-old man who crashed into two scooter riders — killing one of them — was intoxicated at the time of the wreck last month. Francha J. Francis was arrested last week and charged with manslaughter with a vehicle in the second degree, operating under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and operating without a license, New London Police said on Monday, Nov. 11.  Francis' last known address was listed as a halfway house in New London operated by a substance abuse and alcoholism dependence center, according to state records.  Police said …

Raymond Getty ID'd As Victim In Fatal Scooter Crash A 68-year-old Connecticut man who was seriously injured last week in a scooter crash in New London County has died of his wounds, authorities said.  Raymond Getty, of New London, was involved in a two-scooter crash on Wednesday, Oct. 9, on Broad Street near the Cedar Grove cemetery entrance just before 11 a.m., authorities said.  Police found the man lying on the road with severe injuries, and paramedics rushed him to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, where doctors attempted to save his life.
