'Heartbreaking': CT High School Senior Killed In Crash With Dump Truck School officials in Connecticut announced to parents that a Fairfield County high school senior was killed in a car crash on Wednesday, Sept. 11.  Max Harper, an 18-year-old senior at Staples High School, collided with a fully loaded dump truck on Old Hill Road near Patrick Road as they negotiated a difficult turn in opposite directions, Westport Police said.  Max died at the scene, authorities said.  Staples High School will have a two-hour delay on Thursday, Sept. 12, and guidance counselors will be on hand to help students with their grief, Superintendent of Westport…

Westport Student Frightened After Receiving 'Disturbing' Social Media Post Police responded to each public school in Westport to offer protection after a student reported receiving a "disturbing" social media post, making the youngster afraid to attend classes. The incident took place around 7:15 a.m., Monday, March 27 when a Westport Public Schools student reported receiving the post, making them feel concerned about attending school, said Lt.
