The Hartford County crash happened on Saturday, April 13 in the town of Southington, according to Connecticut State Police. Massachusetts State Police Cruiser Struck By Tractor-Trailer A Massachusetts state trooper was seriously injured after being struck by a tractor-trailer while protecting a road construction crew. The incident took place around 11:44 p.m., Tuesday, Sept.. 28 on I-95 southbound near its intersection with the Mass Pike in Weston in Middlesex County. According to Dave Procopio, of the state police, the trooper was inside his cruiser when it was struck.  "The trooper sustained serious injuries, but was alert and radioed in the crash himself," Procopio said.
