5-Year-Old Boy Remains In Critical Condition After Near Drowning In River A 5-year-old boy who was pulled from the Connecticut River in Middlesex County this weekend remained in critical condition a day later, authorities said.  Police were called to a stretch of the river near Landing Road in Haddam on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 26, when the boy and a man fell from a kayak into the water, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said.  Responders took the child to Middlesex Hospital, but doctors had the boy airlifted to Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford in critical condition.  WTNH reported the child was …

New Haven Woman, 37, Found Floating Dead In Quinnipiac River Police in Connecticut are investigating after a 37-year-old woman's body was found dead floating in the water of the Quinnipiac River. New Haven Police Officer Christian Bruckhart said the incident occurred in New Haven around 7:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, near Brewery Square. Bruckhart said the New Haven Fire Department responded with water rescue, and the body was located near James Street and River Streets along the embankment. Man Missing In Water Rescued By Fairfield County Police A Fairfield County man was rescued from the water by police after he was reported missing. The incident took place around 6 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Westport, said Lt.
