String Of Thefts From Vehicles Reported At Parks In Fairfield County Police are searching for suspects after five vehicles had items stolen at two parks in Fairfield County. The incidents took place in New Canaan beginning around 12:30 p.m., Sunday, July 24 at Irwin and Waveny parks. According to New Canaan Police, the chain of incidents began when a Subaru Forester was reported forcibly entered around 12:30 p.m. at Irwin Park. CT 17-Year-Old Accused Of Breaking Into Several Cars A 17-year-old is facing multiple burglary and larceny charges for his alleged involvement in a number of vehicle break-ins in Connecticut. Police in Hartford County said a group of people was breaking into vehicles in Enfield at about 2:30 a.m. on July 4. Four Vehicles Stolen, 15 Break-Ins In Past Four Days Reports One Fairfield County Town A Fairfield County town is asking residents to lock their vehicles and remove key fobs after four vehicles have been stolen since Saturday, May 1. The vehicles were all stolen from Westport, and in all instances, the vehicles were unlocked and the keys were left in the cars, said Lieutenant David Wolf.  In addition, Wolf said the department has also responded to 15 vehicle break-ins over the past five days.
