It happened just after 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 in New Haven County on the southbound side in Meriden. Serious Crash Shuts Down I-95 Stretch A serious crash with at least one critical injured reported has shut down a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County. The crash happened around 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 on the northbound side between Exit 5 (Route 1) and Exit 6 (Harvard Avenue/West Avenue) in Stamford, near the Greenwich border. Toyota Corolla was traveling in the left lane southbound on Route 8 southbound as three other vehicles, a KIA Cadenza, Nissan Altima, and Toyota Camry, were traveling in the right lane near Exit 3, said Connecticut State Police.
