An intoxicated driver operating a vehicle on a suspended license was arrested over the weekend after a witness reported an attempted vehicle break-in at a commuter lot, Connecticut State Police said. At approximately 12:28 p.m., the Harwinton Resident Trooper was conducting motor vehicle enforcement near the Exit 46 (formerly Exit 42) commuter lot when they were flagged down by a witness on Sunday, Jan. 5, state police said. Police in Fairfield County are investigating after two middle-school-aged girls reported a man in a white BMW-like car approached them wearing a ski mask. The incident took place in the town of Fairfield around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1 on Collingwood Avenue. According to Fairfield Police Lt. A person deemed suspicious who was walking on school grounds in Fairfield County led to shelter-in-place orders for two buildings to allow police to investigate. On Thursday, May 19 in Westport, the police department's school security officer, and Staples School resource officer investigated a report of a suspicious person on school grounds.
