The man who shot and killed a beloved Fairfield County jeweler during a robbery has been sentenced to prison.
Robert Rallo, age 59, of New York City, was sentenced on Wednesday, March 1, to 40 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release, for the March 2020 murder and robbery of Mark Vuono, of Marco Jewelers in Stamford, said US Attorney for the District of Connecticut Vanessa Roberts Avery.

Alert Issued For Missing Stamford Man After SUV Found Unoccupied On I-95
Police issued an alert about a missing Stamford man who hasn't been seen in days.
Errol Whyte, age 63, was last seen leaving Bridgeport at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, the Stamford Police Department reported.
On Friday, Dec. 30, Whyte's 2002 Ford Explorer was found unoccupied on I-95 southbound between Exits 18 and 17 near the Saugatuck Bridge, police said.
His keys, cellphones, and wallet were found in the vehicle, but his wallet didn't contain his driver's license and cash, authorities reported.

Fairfield County Man Busted With Crack, Cocaine During Raid, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was busted with alleged crack and powdered cocaine during a raid by police.
The incident took place in Stamford around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 on Myano Lane, Apt. 103.
According to Assistant Chief Richard Conklin of the Stamford Police Department, officers from the Drug and Organized Crime Unit had information that Jermaine "Mash" Akins, age 48, of Bridgeport, was dealing crack and cocaine out of the apartment.
