20-Year-Old Woman Charged For Hit-Run Fairfield County Crash
A 20-year-old Fairfield County resident has been charged in connection with the April hit-and-run death of an area man.
Jaliyah Perez, of Stamford, was arrested on Monday, July 25 for allegedly hitting and killing a city man and then leaving the scene of the crash, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, of the Stamford Police.
The crash took place on Wednesday, April 13 on Tresser Boulevard around 8 p.m. when Ronald Molina, age 52, of Stamford, was walking northbound when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Tresser Blvd., Booth said.

Missing Man's Body Found In Fairfield County Park, Police Say
Police in Fairfield County said the body of a man found at an area park is that of a missing resident.
The 55-year-old Stamford man's body was found around 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, after his vehicle was discovered at Cove Island Park, said Captain Diedrich Hohn, of the Stamford Police.
According to Hohn, after finding the vehicle, a search of the park was conducted using the department's K-9 unit.
During the search, the missing man was discovered, in the water, at Cove Island, Hohn said.

A fire that broke out on a boat docked in Stamford Harbor quickly spread to other boats, a dock, and tiki bar.
The blaze began just after 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Hinckley boatyard on Selleck Street, the Stamford Fire Department said.
