1 Killed After CT House Fire Breaks Out One person was killed and four people and three pets were displaced in an early morning house fire in Connecticut. The blaze broke out in Middlesex County around 4:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1 on Pine. St., in Middletown. According to Middletown Fire Chief Jay Woron, firefighters arrived on the scene within four minutes and encountered heavy fire in the duplex structure with fire and the first floor and quickly moved to the second floor and the attic.
