2 Found Dead Inside Burning Car In Oxford Connecticut State Police are investigating after two people were found dead inside a burning car. According to State Police, when troopers arrived, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. 4 Shot Outside Waterbury Apartments, 1 Critical Four men were found shot outside a Connecticut apartment building following a dispute between the group. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7 p.m. on Wednesday at 50 Mitchell Ave., in Waterbury. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, the four were found shot by responding officers on a report of shots fired. Two of the victims, ages 19 and 25, were treated at the hospital and released. Child, 8, Struck By Vehicle In Meriden A child struck by a car in Connecticut escaped without injury. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 8:50 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, on Hall Avenue. According to Sgt. Michale Boothroyd of the Meriden Police, an officer, responded to the area and found an 8-year-old child had been struck but was showing no apparent signs of injury but did complain of pain.
