Man, Woman Nabbed After Officer Finds Stolen Car Parked At CT Walgreens: Police Thanks to some great detective work, a man and woman both face charges in connection with a stolen vehicle that was found parked at a Connecticut Walgreens, police announced.  The arrests stemmed from an investigation that began in New Haven County on Thursday, Dec. 28, when Meriden Police Officer Desiata found a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Walgreens at 825 East Main St., according to the department.  This vehicle was found to have a smashed rear passenger window and an ignition column that had been tampered with. Desiata also found numerous receipts from sev…

Know Him? Man Wanted In New CT Phone Bail Scam, Police Say Connecticut State Police are warning residents of another phone bail scam to which at least one resident has fallen victim. State Police report the latest incident took place in Middlesex County on Friday, Feb. 16 in East Haddam when a resident gave money to an alleged scammer after receiving a call that a family member was in trouble. CT Corrections Officer Charged With Murder In Road-Rage Shooting, Police Say A 32-year-old Connecticut corrections officer has been charged with the alleged murder of another man during a road-rage incident. William Lucky Jr., of North Haven, turned himself in to Connecticut State Police on Tuesday, Jan. 23 for the shooting which took place on I-691 on Jan. 14 in Meriden. According to the arrest warrant and information from State Police, Lucky admitted to shooting Middlesex County resident Scott Kracke, age 49, of Middlefield, during a confrontation on the side of I-691 in Meriden after a road rage incident. Missing CT Woman Found Dead Missing CT Woman Found Dead
Missing CT Woman Found Dead A Connecticut woman who was reported missing last week has been found dead. Middlesex County resident Palma Hydross, age 66, of Westbrook, was reported missing on Thursday, 18 on Toby Hill Road, said the Connecticut State Police. A Silver alert was issued, but was later canceled, police said. Troopers said her body was found just before 10:40 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 20. State Police did not say where the body was found or release any other details surrounding the case. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

CT Man Shot, Killed In Road-Rage Incident On I-691 A 49-year-old CT man was shot and killed during a road-rage incident. Middlesex County resident Scott Kracke, of Middlefield, died of a gunshot wound around 8 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14 in New Haven County, on I-691 eastbound in Meriden. Connecticut State troopers responded to a report of a disturbance near Exit 2A. State police said when troopers arrived, they found Kracke with gunshot wounds.
