Surveillance Helps Nab Fairfield County Man Wanted In Drive-By Shooting A Fairfield County man awaiting trial on assault charges has been arrested again in connection with an alleged shooting earlier this year. Dominique Jones, age 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 2, by the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force in connection with a shooting in February, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management. The shooting occurred on the city's west side near the intersection of Maplewood Avenue and Howard Avenue, Appleby said. Felon Sentenced For Possessing Firearms In Fairfield County A convicted felon with a lengthy rap sheet is heading back to prison after being sentenced on new weapons charges. Bridgeport resident Antonio Johnson, 27, was sentenced to 66 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after pleading guilty in 2019 for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
