Fairfield County Man Nabbed For Racially-Motivated Road Rage Incident, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged in connection with a road rage incident in which he allegedly yelled racial epithets at the victim. Erik Krobetzky, age 50, of Wilton, turned himself in to police on a warrant on Friday, Dec. 9 for the incident which took place on Saturday, Sept. 10 in Wilton. According to Lt. Gregg Phillipson of the Wilton Police, during the incident, Krobetzky cut off another motorist on Route 7 and then began to drive slowly in front of the victim, braking hard intermittently and swerving in front of them.  Krobetzky then displayed his middle finger at the vi…

Man Charged With Hate Crime, Making Threats In Fairfield County A Fairfield County man has been charged with a hate crime after he allegedly accosted a masonry worker and yelled racist language at the man. Joseph Soracco, age 61, of Fairfield, was arrested on around 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16. Fairfield Police Chief Robert Kalamaras said the department received a complaint of a man threatening and using racial slurs, over a masonry worker's truck being parked in such a way that it blocked a section of sidewalk adjacent to a lot where construction work is being done.
