$30M Insider Trading Case: Hudson Valley Duo Profited From Pharmaceutical Merger Info, Feds Say
Four men from New York and Massachusetts, including a police chief, are accused of making millions of dollars through an insider trading scheme involving one pharmaceutical company’s acquisition of another.
The case, announced by the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York on Thursday, June 29, is one of four separate insider trading cases that reportedly generated a combined $30 million for those involved.
Named in the case are:

Former Supervisor At Reader's Digest In Westchester Dies At Age 63
A man who worked at Reader's Digest in Westchester County for decades has died at the age of 63.
Dutchess County resident Robert Riley-Brown, of Wappingers Falls, died at New York Presbyterian Milstein Heart Center on Saturday, Aug. 20, according to his obituary.
He was born in the Litchfield County town of Sharon, Connecticut.
According to his obituary, Riley-Brown worked as a supervisor at the Global Data Center at Reader's Digest in Pleasantville for 27 years, and he later worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie, his obituary said.

Possible Tornado Touches Down In Hudson Valley
Crews from the National Weather Service are on their way to New York's Hudson Valley to assess damage from a storm that many say produced a tornado.
The storms ripped through Dutchess County just before 3 p.m., on Wednesday, April 21, leaving in its wake downed power lines, split and toppled trees, and many without electricity.
