Dui-related Crash Seriously Injures 2 On I-84, CT Man Charged A Connecticut man was charged with DUI following a two-vehicle crash on I-84 that seriously injured two. The crash took place in Hartford County around 11 p.m. on I-84 in the town of Southington on Saturday, Aug. 26. According to the Connecticut State Police, Jakub Cwieka, age 30, of Newington, was driving a 2017 Lexus IS300 east beside a 2018 Alfa Romeo when both vehicles lost control and collided with each other and hit a metal beam guardrail. Tolland County resident Kevin Gorman, of Willington, was killed around 4:30 p.m., Thursday, July 20 on I-84 West in Tolland. According to Connecticut State Police, Gorman, who was riding a Suzuki GSX-R600 in the left lane behind a Dodge Ram pickup when traffic ahead began to stop suddenly due to a crash.  Gorman braked and lost control of the bike, sending him into the back of the pickup truck, state police said. 17-Year-Old Girl Critically Injured In Rollover CT Crash A teen driver has suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash in northern Connecticut, police announced. It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, in the town of Litchfield, according to Connecticut State Police. The 17-year-old girl was driving northbound on Route 8 near Exit 41 when her car ran off the left side of the road. Her car rolled over before hitting a tree.
