Driver Killed After Crash Near Hotel In Fairfield County A driver was killed in a crash near a hotel in Fairfield County. The crash took place in Greenwich around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 police in the area of 1700 E. Putnam Ave., near the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Greenwich Police said the driver, who has been identified, died from their injuries. Her name has not yet been released. Man Robbed While Getting Into Vehicle At Shopping Center Parking Lot In Fairfield County A man was robbed at a Fairfield County shopping center parking lot while getting into his vehicle. The incident took place around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Thruway Shopping Center at 1233 E. Putnam Ave., in Greenwich, said Greenwich Police Captain Mark E. Zuccerella.  According to Zuccerella, two Black men approached the victim when he was getting into his vehicle. The men exited their vehicle and cornered the victim, demanding the victim give them his property. The victim was able to stall the suspects.
