Video Surveillance Nabs 6 Teens Burglarizing Darien Home Under Construction, Police Say
Six teens were nabbed allegedly burglarizing a home under construction in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Darien around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police, officers responded to a Middlesex Road residence on a report of an active residential burglary/trespassing incident. The 3-11 shift received a report that “six teens” could be seen remotely on video surveillance trespassing or possibly burglarizing a residence that was under construction, Skoumbros said. Whole Foods Employee Assaults, Drags Person Outside Darien Store, Police Say
A Whole Foods employee in Connecticut has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a person outside the store. The Fairfield County incident happened in July 2023 in Darien, at the Whole Foods store located on Ledge Road. According to Darien Police, the victim met 42-year-old Eric Brand in the store’s parking lot on Sunday, July 2, and asked him for money. The two got into an argument that turned physical, police said. That’s when Brand allegedly assaulted the victim and then dragged them along the ground. Both burglaries occurred on Saturday, September 23 in the Fairfield County town of Darien, according to the Darien Police Department. A 30-year-old man who was allegedly found sleeping behind the wheel of his car in Fairfield County has been charged with driving under the influence. Westchester County resident Alexander Ramos-Sanchez, of Harrison, was arrested in Darien on Saturday, Sept. 2. According to Sgt. Police are investigating a smash-and-grab robbery attempt at a pharmacy in Fairfield County in which nothing was taken. The incident took place in Darien around 5:29 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 21 at Griebs Pharmacy at 1021 Post Road. According to Sgt. Nabbed: Stamford Man Violates Restraining Order At Business In Darien, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been arrested after police said he violated a protective order against him. On Wednesday, Aug. 16, 32-year-old Kristjan Duhana was arrested in Darien. Duhana, who is from Stamford, was taken in custody just days after he allegedly disobeyed a restraining order against him, the Darien Police Department announced. Though meant to not have contact with the victim, police reported that on Saturday, Aug. 12, Duhana walked into a business on Post Road that his victim was in. A Connecticut man was caught red-handed by police who say he was, among other charges, driving a vehicle that had another person’s license plate. It happened on Thursday, Aug. 3 at approximately 5:10 p.m. in Darien, according to the Darien Police Department. A Fairfield County woman said the person she bought a car from took care of the paperwork, but the car did not have the proper license or registration.
