Early Morning Shooting In New Haven Sends 4 To Hospital; Teen Woman In Critical Condition An early morning shooting in New Haven sent four people to the hospital and left one woman clinging to life, authorities said.  New Haven police responded to the 800 block of Chapel Street around 2 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, after 911 callers reported multiple gunshots, detectives said. Murals Going Up All Over New Haven Amid Downtown Revitalization While you're out holiday shopping, take a moment to enjoy five new murals recently painted across the city.  Although COVID has quieted many streets, the facades of buildings in Ninth Square of New Haven have become a bit louder thanks to the artistic contributions of five artists through the city's Straight Up Art initiative.  Since the beginning of August, the group has commissioned five larger-than-life murals to grace the walls of the neighborhood, further contributing to its transition to a hub for artists and creatives.
