Police arrested a Connecticut man in New York and charged him with the October shooting at a Bridgeport University dining hall, authorities said. Dylan Cruz-Tillery, 18, turned himself over to police on Friday, Dec. 20, and was charged with assault in the first degree and carrying a pistol without a permit, Bridgeport police said. Christopher Santana Shot And Killed In New Haven Parking Lot
A Connecticut man was fatally shot earlier this week, prompting police to ask for the public’s help in solving the case. Christopher Santana, 25, was killed in a rear parking lot at 730 George Street in New Haven shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, authorities said. Officers arrived to find Santana lying on the ground as a bystander performed CPR. Paramedics rushed Santana to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said. Man Found Dead In CT Stream Was Strangled, Police Say
The death of a Connecticut man who was found face down in a stream has been ruled a homicide by strangulation by the state Medical Examiner's Office. The New Haven man, identified as Miguel Rivera, age 62, was found in a stream around 7:10 a.m. on Friday, July 19, in a stream in the area of Hemingway Street. According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, the medical examiner conducted a preliminary examination of Rivera on scene, and no signs of trauma were located at the time. Detectives in Fairfield County are asking for public assistance to identify two men allegedly responsible for an armed robbery at the Shell gas station. The armed robbery took place in Trumbull on Monday, Oct. 8 at the gas station on White Plains Road. According to Lt. Brian Weir of the Trumbull Police, the two young Black men entered the business near closing time and pistol-whipped the clerk with a semi-automatic handgun.
