CT Couple Killed In PA Hit-And-Run; Driver Sentenced To Up To 56 Years A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to 26 years, nine months to 56 years, 10 months in state prison for causing the high-speed hit-and-run crash that killed a Connecticut couple in Bucks County last February. John Thomas Wadlinger Jr., 32, of Bensalem, received the sentence from Common Pleas Judge C. Theodore Fritsch on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at the Bucks County Justice Center. Former CT Police Officer Who Enjoyed Stargazing With A Cigar Dies At 67 A former Connecticut police officer who loved law enforcement and stargazing with a cigar has died at the age of 67. New Haven County resident Thomas K. Richard, of Ansonia,  died on Friday, Jan. 12, according to his obituary. Born in Fairfield County in Bridgeport on Sunday, July 8, 1956, and a long-time resident of Ansonia, where he lived with his family for more than 39 years, Thomas served in the Trumbull Police Department as a full-time traffic officer specializing in accident reconstruction before retiring from his assignment and transitioning to a part-time role working special …
