Tashuan Minor-Davis, of New Haven, pleaded guilty on Monday, Jan. 10, to one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, according to Leonard Boyle, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
The West Haven Police Department was conducting surveillance at about 10 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2020, when police saw Minor-Davis involved in what seemed to be a drug transaction from his vehicle, which was parked at a West Haven gas station, the US Attorney's Office reported.
Officers tried to pull the car over, but Minor-Davis drove away from the scene, police said.
Police found his car a short time later and arrested Minor-Davis after briefly chasing him on foot, Boyle said.
Officers recovered about 34 grams of cocaine and 19 grams of fentanyl from Minor-Davis, Boyle said.
The US Attorney's Office said Minor-Davis is set to be sentenced on April 5.
He was released on a $100,000 bond pending sentencing, Boyle reported.
The investigation was conducted by the DEA New Haven Tactical Diversion Squad and the West Haven Police Department.
