Utility crews across the state worked overnight to make repairs, with several hundred still in the dark as of around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
Eversource was reporting multiple outages on Tuesday morning, which were still impacting 854 of the company’s 1,283,816 customers.
Multiple outages were still being reported in Farmington (321), Voluntown (282), Sterling (96), North Stonington (18), Meriden (12), Bloomfield (10), Woodbury (9) Stonington (6), Plainfield, and Redding.
United Illuminated was also reporting two active outages that were impacting 105 customers, impacting 104 in New Haven and one in Trumbull.
“We’re checking our equipment and supplies and staging the crews at our work centers across the state to ensure we’re ready to repair any damage we may see from this storm,” Eversource President of Regional Electric Operations Craig Hallstrom said.
“We also remind customers that restorations may take longer as we ensure the safety of our employees and customers while continuing to work under the challenging conditions related to the pandemic.”
